You don't need a bootable installer to upgrade macOS or reinstall macOS, but it can be useful if you want to install macOS on multiple computers without downloading the installer each time, or you're unable to install a compatible macOS from the Finder or macOS Recovery.

Solution: Re-dowload OS X Lion, Open Disk Utility, locate InstallESD.dmg file from SharedSupport folder and double click it (Automatically the InstallESD.dmg and Mac OS X Install ESD is going to mount in the Disk Utility application on the left side), Drag the Mac OS X Install ESD file to the Source and Drag your usb partition (if you have more than one partition on your usb) to the Destination and RESTORE.
No, as long as you are installing Lion on your own personal Macs, this is fine. Mac OS X Lion comes with a very generous personal license that allows you to install the OS on all of your personal Macs. This method just allows you to avoid downloading the entire package again.
You have 11A511. The App Store version is 11A494. Slightly older version for the older Macs. 11A511 components are downloaded during the install process. See my comment to your other post about option-clicking.
I lost my OSX SL CD. Can I buy and download Lion on my MacBook Air, make a usb-stick like this, and then do a clean install with it on my iMac? Or will this usb stick only be useable on the machine I made it?
you will be able to do an upgrade using this methodon your macs as long as they have core 2 duo ornewer intel processor 2gb of ram or more 8 + gb of harddrive space free I would recommend 40gb + free forbest performance and even though you have downloadedlion using a Mac other than you are installing it on the installerwill still insist you have to be running 10.6.6 or laterand will not proceed with the upgrade unless you are running10.6.6 or later
If you have the foresight to let Time Machine perform a full backup of your Mac before running the Lion installer (but after it has downloaded from the App Store) then you can skip re-downloading the 4Gb file. Just go to Time Machine, visit your Applications folder, find the TM backup with the Lion installer (Install Mac OS X Lion) and restore it. Ta-da! ;)

Before you begin importing your images using Photo Downloader, make sure that you have updated Bridge to the latest version. To check for updates, choose Help > Updates. To know how to update your app, see Update Creative Cloud apps.
To view thumbnails of the images saved on device, click Advanced Dialog at the lower-right corner of the window. The Advanced Dialog allows you to select the media files that you want to import and also provides more import options.
To rename the files as you import them, choose an option from the Rename Files menu. All the photos in the import batch share the same name based on Today's Date, Shot Date, and Custom Name, or a combination of Shot Date and Custom Name. Each photo also has a unique number attached at the end.
If you had selected the Open in Adobe Bridge check box, Bridge automatically opens the location where you have imported the media files and displays your photos or subfolders within this location in the Content panel.
On macOS, Bridge provides an additional option File > Import From Device to import media from devices. This option, which has limited import settings, can be used as an alternate to File > Get Photos From Camera option when you are working on macOS.
These instructions are for an older version of GoPro Quik that's not to be confused with the smartphone version of the app released in March 2021. You can still download Quik from the GoPro community website.
To connect GoPro to your TV, you'll need to purchase a media mod and attach it to your GoPro. Then, plug an HDMI-to-micro HDMI cable into the GoPro micro HDMI port. Plug the other end of the cable into the TV HDMI input.

If the problem continues, you have no choice but agree to initialize the disk you inserted, as the pop-up warns. Care about important data? Download and install EaseUS Mac data recovery software on your Mac because this fix will bring data loss to the storage device.
macOS and Windows support different file systems. The main file system of macOS is Apple File System also known as APFS. It was developed by Apple and first introduced in macOS 10.13 as an improved new file system with notable features such as, stronger encryption, space sharing, and fast directory sizing to name a few.
Microsoft has also developed their file system for Windows, NTFS. This proprietary file system was introduced in 1993, and it supports metadata and advanced data structures to improve performance, additional extensions for improved security, and file system journaling.
Before formatting a USB device that may contain important data, it is a critical safety step to back it up. You can accomplish this in several different ways depending on the amount of data on the device and the space available on your Mac.
My own little tool, ApplePi-Baker, originally intended for Raspberry Pi disk images, can assist in this as well.Obviously you will need to download and install ApplePi-Baker first, and after that follow these steps:

Apple Music boasts stunning music quality and a massive library. Therefore, you may come up with an idea to download and keep songs from Apple Music as a backup. But when you transfer Apple Music to SD card and insert the SD card to a playback device such as your MP3 player, a likely situation is that the Apple Music tracks are not playable and can not be recognized by your device.
Another pain point is storage. High music quality usually means a large file size. If the smartphone is the playback device that you commonly use, you may notice that songs downloaded from Apple Music take up so much storage space on your phone.
Since you've been here, this article is writing to provide solutions to remove the obstacles. You can figure out how to transfer Apple Music to SD card and make the downloaded tracks playable on more devices. Also, we will introduce a quick trick to help you get high-quality Apple Music while keeping the files small for saving locally and therefore free up more storage on your phone.
But dating back to the very beginning, the Android version only allows users to download songs to internal storage space. It was not until 2016 that Apple added support for Android users to download music to SD card. 350c69d7ab
